About Tailor's Touch

Remodelling Clothes with Purpose

Garment remodelling and alterations with a focus on fit, fabric, and reuse.

Tailor's Touch works with garments that need more than a simple adjustment. We reshape dresses, skirts, shirts, jackets, and vintage pieces with care for the original construction and the fabric that is already there.

Each project begins with an assessment of the garment, followed by a clear redesign discussion and a quote based on what the fabric and fit can support. The result is practical, wearable work that gives clothing a longer life.

Our story

How the Studio Evolved

From precise fitting to full garment remodelling, the studio has developed around thoughtful work and clear project planning.

01

Started with careful alterations

Tailor's Touch was founded by Layla Al-Mahfouz in 2016 with a focus on alterations that respect the garment in front of us. Over time, the studio expanded into redesign and upcycling for clients who wanted to keep meaningful clothing in use.

02

Grew into redesign work

Today, the work includes consultation, remodelling, and fit updates for garments that need a new shape or a better finish. We explain what can be done, what the fabric allows, and how the process will move forward before any work begins.

03

Built around reuse

That approach has made the studio a good fit for customers who value sustainability, vintage clothing, and pieces with personal history. Every project is handled as a practical construction task with creative possibilities, not as a promise of perfection.

What guides our work

Values Behind Every Project

Our process is built to keep projects clear, practical, and aligned with the garment itself.

F1

Assessment First

We begin with a fitting or garment review so the work is based on construction, condition, and the requested change. That keeps the quote and the plan realistic from the start.

F2

Clear Approval

Redesign work is approved before it moves ahead, and any extra work is discussed before it is added. You always know what the project includes.

F3

Careful Finishing

Where available, we match original thread and trim to keep the finish consistent with the garment. If exact materials are not available, we explain the options clearly.

F4

Reuse with Purpose

We support reuse through remodelling and upcycling, helping clothing stay useful for longer. That includes work for sentimental pieces and vintage garments that deserve a new form.
